FMP Monday 19th April

This morning in my group, we discussed a new idea: Young Offenders
The question we decided to base our programme on is, 'How easily do young offenders fit back into society and what rehabilitation programmes are available?' We looked on the internet at some schemes and institutes for young offenders. We also listed contact detailes of programmes working with newly released young offenders.
In the afternoon we had a lesson going over what should be included in our pitch. We agreed in our group individual work to complete throughout the week. I started planning the treatment and then researched the Youth Offending Team.

In our morning lesson, we discussed what MUST be included in our documentaries and what makes them good. We then looked at three documentaries made by previous college students, critiquing them. I made several notes to refer to when planning and producing our own programme.
I the afternoon lesson, we discussed the structure of documentary making and how to choose your statement/question.
Yesterday we struggled to make a decision on what to do our programme on so Lisa and I brainstormed ideas and looked into safety for young adults. eg. Taxis, drinking, peer pressure and clubbing etc.

Andy talked us through the brief and in the afternoon I joined a group with myself, Lisa, Josh, Adam and Chris. In a group, we discussed the subject of our documentary and the ideas that we came up with.
In the evening, i researched and watched several documentaries on TV.
